abandoned grounds

For a third year class I was to select a theme and capture some interesting moments. Photographic exploration led me to a unique place, a place that I have always

had interest in. With October being right around the corner I decided to approch the assignment with a creepy/eerie goal in mind.

For the record I am not a very experienced photographer, I enjoy the idea but lack the dedication of setting time to actually follow through. I have only went out a handful of times to take pictures.

I went over to Riverview Hospital, a closed physiatric hospital located in Coquitlam, BC; before going to the hospital grounds I expected it to be closed off and that I was going to have jump a few fences to capture the things that I wanted to. So when I got there I happend to run into a security gurad; luckily I was aloud to be there but i was not supposed to be taking photos. With that said I managed to avoid the on sight security and capture the things i wanted to.
